Why it Matters

Temple Mishkan Israel is an important reminder of Jewish history. The building has amazing stained glass depicting old testament stories, and the Torah was made in 1841 in France. The temple also has an organ, something that's not exactly commonplace in a synagogue. The organ was built in 1927 for a Methodist church, but the church then canceled their order. Mishkan Israel then bought it when it was on display in Cleveland, Ohio.

All of these old and beautiful objects ought to be preserved for future generations.
