Harmony Club

When my ancestors lived in Selma, there was enough of a Jewish population there to support a social club solely dedicated to Jewish men. This was partly necessary because Jews weren't allowed to be in the local country club.

The club was known as the Harmony Club. It also fell into disrepair, but it was successfully renovated, and now the bottom floor is rented out to businesses. My Bar Mitzvah luncheon will be held there.

The New York Times ran an article by my cousin about the Harmony Club.

The Harmony Club website can be found here.
